The North East’s leading rider performance centre
The Centre’s attributes include ‘Apollo’ the riding simulator, rider bio-mechanics and balance awareness sessions
Sessions on the simulator are fun and interactive, as riders ourselves we understand the importance of foundations of rider balance, seat and posture, sessions are available for 30 minutes or 45 minutes and are tailored toward each individuals needs. The simulator is surrounded by mirrors in a purpose built room, he has multiple gaits and caters for all levels of riders. He has a weight limit of 14 stone
Centered Riding clinics are hosted over 1, 2 or 3 days, catering for clients with their own horses, clinics include; unmounted rider groundwork & ridden sessions and run approx 10am – 4.30pm. Delivered by Joanne Forster Level III Centered Riding Clinician.
2 & 3 day clinics are Open Clinics therefore count as a pre-requisite ‘Open Clinic’ for those wanting to train as a Centered Riding Instructor.
Accommodation is available on-site, people are welcome to stay in horseboxes, there is also many good B&B’s locally and a caravan site across the lane from the Centre. Stabling is available on-site for an additional cost.
Unmounted rider workshops are very popular and often sell-out quickly, especially during the winter months, delivered in a purpose built heated room. Workshops are interactive and fun, with exercises to understand the aids, rider balance, use of self, awareness of rider balance, posture & weight-aids plus so much more. Look out for dates of upcoming workshops.
Ridden lessons are available for clients with their own horses at the Centre, Ayla also teaches freelance within a 10 mile radius of Cote Hill Riding Centre
Based at Cote Hill Riding Centre in the beautiful rural area of North-West Durham, NE Rider Performance Centre brings together rider coaching & fitness to help you to achieve your riding goals.
Riding is a sport and the foundations of a level of fitness, balance, strength and flexibility needs to be achieved by a rider to ensure performance and pain free riding regardless of the level of the rider.
The Centre’s attributes include ‘Apollo’ the riding simulator, rider bio-mechanics and balance awareness sessions are available on Apollo with Joanne Forster – Level III Centered Riding Clinician & Ayla Forster-Blenkinsop – Level I Centered Riding Instructor, his client range include beginners, riders rehabilitating from injury or surgery and advanced riders wishing to fine tune their skills, bio-mechanics and balance.
In the near future we will be opening our facility up further to offer fitness and yoga classes specifically designed for riders and delivered by qualified instructors in each field who are also riders themselves.
Ayla is currently training as a level 2 Gym instructor & level 3 Personal Fitness Trainer and is looking forward to bringing fitness training sessions and so much more to the centre for riders.
